Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital
Annual Storybook Gala
In 2017, Armstrong Dixon helped sponsor the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s annual Storybook Gala. All proceeds directly benefit the children the pediatric hospital continues to serve.
Starting in March 2016, Armstrong Dixon paired with Pepe’s Pizza, a local Mt. Washington Restaurant, to help donate and serve food on a bi-monthly basis. The food directly benefits families of patients during visits
Annual Golf Outing
In 2015 and 2016, Greg chaired and helped to sponsor the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital's annual golf outing.
Mount Washington School Green Committee
In October, 2016, Armstrong Dixon partnered with the United Way of Central Maryland to help a local school out. Everyone participated in helping to turn outdoor classrooms into learning gardens through planting, harvesting and weeding with students from the Mt. Washington School.
Mt. Washington Merchant’s Association
In January 2016, Greg became the President of the Mt. Washington Merchant’s Association where he works closely with elected city officials to improve the Mt. Washington Village.
Greg also helped to facilitate the 2016 Mt. Washington Festival held in October, 2016.
Maryvale Preparatory School
Greg currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee for Maryvale Preparatory School, his wife’s alma mater.
In 2013, Greg and his wife established the Grow Grant. The annual award is given to a deserving member of the Maryvale faculty or staff in order to strengthen their personal and professional experiences through education and travel.
In September of 2013 Robbin cofounded Ladies On the Verge of Excellence, Inc... LOVE is a 501C3 organization that advocates for young women to excel in life through encouragement and positive reinforcement of physical, mental, and academic wellness through individual and group mentoring. Robbin, who has been the Chief Financial Officer since 2013, strives to inspire and encourage young women to reach their fullest potentials.
International Rescue Committee
Shieva currently serves as a mentor to refugee families in the Baltimore area who need assistance with a variety of things like job seeking and interview skills, English language skills, and other general items to help make their transition to the US easier.
Since 2014, Katie has worked with St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church to help serve the needy during their monthly Soup Kitchen. Located right outside of the Baltimore City line, St. Peter’s offers a served hot meal, a cold meal to-go and a variety of clothes and appliances for visitors to take home. Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.)
Katie was invited to join P.E.O.’s Chapter H of Maryland in August, 2016. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is an organization that promotes educational opportunities for women through philanthropy. To date, the Sisterhood sponsors no less than six international projects and foundations, including the Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. PEO has provided nearly $283 million in financial assistance to almost 99,000 recipients of educational scholarships, grants, awards and loans; and that number is certainly growing!
